Within our community at onlinecoachsupport.com there is a small group of overwhelmed and techy troubled life coaches that have been road testing my new course - 6 Basic Pillars to Creating Your Online Biz & Attracting Your Perfect Customers (aka The Honeycomb Effect). I also had three of those members also trialling out my Product Creators Course. Over the next few months I will be sharing some of the snippets (or little nuggets of gold) that came about because of the live interaction from beta testing to a small pocket of my target market. My Awesome Beta Tester Coaches
I had previously piloted the 6 Pillars course over 18 months ago and had good results. The thought though of trying to put it all together, going through all the audio, editing and creating the required content overwhelmed me. I also had mixed feelings about whether it was good enough or had strong enough content to then build it into an online course. I decided that I needed to take the plunge and run it again to a small group at a very discounted price, otherwise the course would never be run. By doing so I was able to test out my content, the length of each topic and sub topic and create extra content material such as planning sheets, checklists, little snippets of audio and videos, etc. By interacting with the lovely coaches that joined me this enabled me to also see if I was on the right track and where I had to tweak my content when necessary. I had also signed up to a business and marketing course that cost me $5,500. I was freakin' out as my full time job paid my bills, but I didn't have any spare income to start the course. I needed to at least come up with the deposit before I could start this course that would actually help me with getting my course created and out to my target market. I could then pay the rest of the course off by instalments. As my mentor Ryan Magdziarz of Winning International would say "Progression not perfection". Another mentor Jeff Walker (Product Formula Launch) calls this the seed launch. Each of these members have continual private access to my 6 Pillars Facebook Group and an Online OneNote where they can electronically store everything in the one place. The best thing about this is that they can privately share with me their progress, where they are stuck and what they have got completed. Instead of emails going back and forth between us each exercise is completed in the OneNote. My coach asked me "How resourceful are you?". It was like he was giving me a challenge and I took the bait. I did my sums and thought if I start running this course as a beta program (bare bones) I would have enough money to pay the deposit. Also I had just been to Cambodia and decided that I wanted to help a lovely lady (Addheka) raise funds to get school uniforms and basic supplies for 800 poor rural children over 7 provinces within Cambodia. This was part of her Aid Projects of Mercy and so my goal became bigger than me. I have since pledged that 50% of my memberships, products and services would go towards this cause and created a crowd funding page. The goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of June 2017. In addition, I also ran another course as a beta program. This was called Product Creators as this was a practical course run over 6 weeks that allowed everyone a chance to be hands on with different types of software that would assist them in creating their content. This is also an offshoot of 6 Pillars as two of the topics covered are Creating Content and Ninja Tools and Support. Clare Lavender, Linda Carroll and Sue Folley also signed up to this course of which I was most grateful. This allowed me to start with this course first whilst I was prepping for 6 Pillars. They were able to create a sample event and go behind the scenes of Instant Teleseminar to create some audio and check out the control panel. Over the 6 weeks we then used Audacity to edit the audios, MP3 Quality Modifier to compress the audio, Canva to create some graphics that we could use as posts or part of a presentation and Movie Maker to then create a video. All of these tools were free for them to use. Instant Teleseminar was the only platform that has monthly charges, but as members of onlinecoachsupport.com and also for doing this course they were allowed to share the platform that I had set up at no cost. They were also able to share their triumphs and challenges in a private Facebook group. If this is an area that you struggle with I encourage you to sign up for my next Product Creator's course that will be commencing Saturday 8 October. If you want to find out more about it and have a clarity call to start designing your marketing plan for your product use my calendar link to organise a call with me
The next round of 6 Pillars will also be commencing beginning of November. This will then lead into 2017 - a great proactive way to get started. If you are interested in joining me for this course or want to find out more information please also use my calendar link so we can discuss further. In this course the topics covered are: Topic 1 - Getting Started Topic 2 - Money Magic Topic 3 - Creating Content Topic 4 - Marketing Psyche & Funnels Topic 5 - Ninja Tools & Support Topic 6 - Partnerships If you choose to do both the 6 Pillars and the Product Creators these programs will also be offered as a bundle. |
