Little Snippet Videos or POCKETS of POWER

​Nuggets of gold is another word that I like to use.  Sometimes it just takes that "little snippet" or nugget of gold for a great idea or an invention to create something of extreme value that propels us into our AHA moment.

For the last few years as I have been trying to get my members and other coaches and small businesses visible, I thought I need to walk the talk and get visible myself.

I started doing the video chats at the start of this year with others to get both myseslf and others more comfortable in front of the camera and then wanted to give them a nice intro to lead into the "Video Chats" and to finish also with an outro video and credits. 

One thing I am experiencing is that although they may only be 30 sec or less than 2 minutes, it does not take only that amount of time to create. In fact I often can spend quite a few hours creating them, getting the right template, getting the right music, speeding it up, slowing it down, adding other transitions, editing because something is not quite right, uploading, compressing it so it is not too large etc to totally customise it to my client's requirements.

I think because I started calling them snippet videos (to help others realise they can break down their content into little snippets to use as teasers and get more visible) that people (or I think they do) think that it is easy and everyone can do it - especially with the software and apps that are out there.

It was only when I ran my 6 week Get Visible with Video Workshop to teach people the basics as a pilot course, that I could see that people were so overwhelmed with the techy aspects and how much they struggled, their feelings of I can't do this, their moments of joy when they created their own little video or they were brave to be in front of the camera for a couple of minutes, that I knew that this is my strength and skill, which others do not have. In addition, I had some overwhelming feedback from one of my mentors Jessica Lorimer (@jess_lorimer) which led to some great feedback from others outside of my normal Facebook Groups - Heather Gray (@choosetohaveitall) and Emma Perois (@getorganizedwithemma).

I love doing this side of things, others don't because they are passionate and skilful at something else.  I have also recently "out-tasked" some jobs to see what they would cost me and also how much time it would also save, which in this instance it didn't.  I will use out-tasking for the things that I am not good at or don't like doing, but will continue to create some fantastic CUSTOMISED intro and outro "pockets of power" for my clients.
