As part of a team that are heading over to Cambodia in July to build homes for some of the poorest Cambodian families I thought it would be great to do a coach-a-thon. Our team leader Jim Pollock and his wife Elaine go each year and I thought that I would also like to be a part of it this year. These families have typically been in the Tabitha savings program for 4-5 years in order to reach their dream of 'graduating from poverty'. As part of this savings program, each family has saved and will contribute $40 towards the cost of the new house and land package. Our team is fundraising to pay for the remaining $1700 per house. When we arrive we will work side by side with the Cambodians, under their leadership and guidance, giving them the opportunity to teach us valuable life skills (building). The more money that we raise, the more houses and safe wells we can build, the more families can be helped. Amazingly, within one year of a family moving into a new home with access to a well, they can expect their income to at least double!
As part of the coach-a-thon which is how I am fundraising my individual amount I thought that I could assist in the following ways: Friends and Colleagues that donate could either have a coaching session (valued at $75) on any goal that they wanted help to achieve or roadblocks they wanted to overcome and move forward on. If they own a business or have a product, service to promote, or were involved in other charities they could be interviewed. If they have an idea, but not sure on how to get started we could have a brain storming session together. For members of Online Coach Support (OCS) and other coaches I could also promote or assist them by interviewing them, involving them in case studies, helping them map out their customer paths and marketing funnels, or learning a teleseminar/webinar platform that could help them with their biz. I have had a great response with coaching sessions and interviews and case studies booked to be recorded. My first case study was with one of our members of OCS - Lauren King who talks openly about the struggles she and many others face with the techy and marketing aspects. Although she is confident in her field of nutrition this side of things totally overwhelm her. Click here or on the pic below to listen to us talking through this I have further interviews booked this week which will be also showcased and then put into ITunes. This has reawaken my passion in interviewing others and learning about their stories. I have coaching sessions and strategic marketing plans also that need to be conducted so a great outcome for everyone involved.
