In this VIDEO CHAT, Agnes shares how she got started with YouTube and manifested a full time income (with over 11,000 subscribers). In regards to this video chat I got it subscribed. One of the reasons was because I thought that during our chat Agnes shared some "nuggets of gold" that will help all of us as coaches and small business owners just get on with it, take action and start getting visible. One of the bits she shared was:

So if I was in your shoes, I would look at those types of things and put my energies into the income producing activities because I see and Colleen and I had a conversation about the thing that a lot of the coaches do is they don't put their energies into income producing activities. They get lost in all the creativity, which is what I did as well in the beginning. A lot of us are creative, but the creative part is the part we're good at. It's the connecting with customers and potential people to purchase what we sell that is our downfall and that's the area that we need to as coaches work on - how do I create an audience that is potentially capable of purchasing what I have to offer. That's where the energy needs to go."

I tested out a software tool called Temi.com that transcribes audio or videos to text. You then can listen and edit as it doesn't capture everything, but it certainly takes away a lot of time and effort in transcribing the audio or video yourself.

You can test it out for free for your first transcript otherwise it is only $0.10 cents per audio minute. You can then download to word or as a PDF. It time stamps the transcript automatically for you making it very easy to break down your video into little snippets or identify the bits that you want to showcase.

This is the second week of 12 Weeks 12 Posts (#12weeks12posts) that will be shared across different social media platforms. In this week I briefly mention using the Zoom platform to record your video though you can use your phone or mobile device

Zoom is fantastic because it is high definition, it can be used on any of your mobile devices and it can be used on your desktop. You can have it so it stores to the cloud and it converts automatically to audio and video.

Zoom link - https://zoom.us/. Check it out. It's free for up to 40 minutes otherwise only A$20.99 per month - unlimited time and up to 100 participants. I use Zoom for recordings, online workshops, video chats, explanation videos, screen sharing to help other coaches with techy tools etc.

This is one of the tools that I do teach in the Get Visible with Video Workshop which runs for 6 weeks and we get to check out Zoom and other video tools to help you create and repurpose your content.

This is my second blog post out of the 12 weeks 12 posts challenge or activity we want everyone to take part in

The whole purpose of this is to get confident and comfortable with using videos and to be able to repurpose your content and build up that know, like and trust factor so we have our clients being attracted to us instead of chasing them.

The first thing as I mentioned was that we need to create our framework and even if we were not able to 12 weeks to start off with, if we just want to test out how we went for the first four weeks, even the first couple of weeks.

Questions are going to come up about what you need to do or how you might want to edit your video or uncertainties in your recording or anything like that.

Let's build your value ladder or content library and the KNOW, LIKE and TRUST factor by being strategic, giving value in advance, starting with the end outcome in mind and being focused to JUST create your ideal customer framework TOGETHER!!! By posting a post with the 12 Weeks, 12 Posts strategy this will get you into a good habit of posting regularly, build your confidence, your network and your skills and you will be surrounded with like minded people as you work through these few months building YOUR IP (intellectual property).

Stay focused on attracting YOUR IDEAL CLIENTS first and getting leads

Map out your overall FRAMEWORK first. What topics will you be posting over the next 12 weeks? Select at least four for the first month though it would be ideal if you have the 12 topics chosen. You may have four topics and each of them could be broken down into 3 sub topics each. Look at it from your ideal client's point of view. Be specific and focus on one problem, one solution and benefits/outcome they could get or achieve.

Create a VLOG (video blog) each week (see below). A short sharp VIDEO SNIPPET under 2 mins viewing or reading from your BLOG page of your website. This can be done in any number of different formats, whatever you are comfortable with doing (face on camera, images and audios, images and text overlay, cartoon are some examples)

Framework for your post:

INTRO
3-5 POINTS
OUTCOME

Share VLOG Post to business Facebook page - if under 1 min share also to Instagram. If over a minute find the best part and repurpose/edit it to fit. This may be a couple of key images put together with some text overlay

Depending on the format that you have chosen for your VLOG post you may need to edit, especially if it is face on camera.

Share link from YouTube also to Pinterest and LinkedIn (optional). This is to identify where your ideal clients hang out and to get out of your comfort zone with a couple of different social media platforms. This will help you reach more people. You may find that a different platform works or out performs the ones you are currently using, but you want know until you test it out. Once you have identified the platform that works better for your tribe then decide.

Let's then expand your post further by creating an opt in so your ideal clients can submit their email details. These become your leads or prospects. You need to get leads first, before trying to sell straight away. Together we will look at how we can further nuture our LEADS or PROSPECTS with emails using an autoresponder and messages using Many Chat on Facebook Messenger. We will also look at using Facebook Pixels which are cookies that help you track people that visit your website so you can retarget them. Extra free training workshops will be offered for these steps.

As the first step in our process is to get LEADS or PROSPECTS first, we can then lead them to a 10 min assessment (triage) call with you to see if you are both the right fit. This is not a SALES call. Remember you are not the one auditioning. You are the judge. Your LEADS or PROSPECTS may not be ready for your product, service, or program right now and that is fine. You want to attract YOUR IDEAL CLIENTS that are ready to work with you, but also nurture the others that may be ready SOME DAY, educating them. When they are ready if you have been front of mind they will seek you out.

From the assessment or triage call you can identify the LEADS you want to connect with further on a longer discovery call. More on these two steps to come...

]]><![CDATA[Building Your Marketing Roadmap]]>Mon, 28 Aug 2017 23:12:29 GMThttps://www.onlinecoachsupport.com/blog/building-your-marketing-roadmapFrom October to December this year, I have 3 months off from my JOB, getting paid whilst on Long Service Leave - YAAAAY (big hapy dance). I have been thinking for a long time now:

"This is the moment I have been waiting for. I can work on my business fully, set it up properly, put systems into place, be connecting more with my ideal clients, running my programs, creating and editing videos AND SO ON."

Up until yesterday though I was going to take it at half pay, allowing more time the following year to take a further 3 months off again at half pay. I thought this will push me out of my comfort zone, I would need to be very strategic, plan out my steps, my budget and my game plan in these upcoming weeks to ensure I could bring in the extra income to meet my mortgage and other bills, otherwise I would put more stress and pressure on myself.

As each week was passing by the panic was setting in, the doubts in my own self, my fears that I wouldn't be able to do it or be good enough. Instead of working on what needed to be done to set things in place, I panicked, I have been "busy" but not productive doing "other stuff", I lost focus, I lost confidence in myself. I STOPPED beleving in myself. I STARTED procrastinating and sabotaging the plans that I have had in place for years to do "once I got my Long Service Leave".

By taking time out and mapping out what I need to do over the next few months, I got back that clarity, focus and steps I need to take.

I worked out my budget and decided I would still have my Long Service Leave BUT at full pay after talking it over with one of my close friends. He said "What was the good of having extra time off next year, if I couldn't make it through the next few months." "Why was I putting all this stress and burden on myself?"

I started messaging the members in my Facebook Group - Online Coach Support to help them map out what they want to achieve by the end of the year, what action steps they need to take to make things happen for them. I suggested if they need help or support to schedule a call so we could work through it together, braindump ideas - get things out of their head and get that clarity.

I went straight into work yesterday and asked HR to change my leave so I would still get paid in full whilst on leave. The sense of relief was enormous as the financial stress removed.

MAYBE you can relate to my story. July was an emotional and sad month for me with my dad passing away whilst I was in Cambodia doing some fundraising and helping others and after taking some extra time off I was back to work (my JOB) and back to reality with a bang. LIFE just goes on the same unless we make the change.

Since I started my coach training my goal was that I would continue to learn as much as I could and do my business PART TIME until my next lot of long service leave was available. This means I always had a safety net as I put my JOB first. This means that I played small, doubted and second guessed myself because I thought the risk of leaving my steady income was too great. Being a single parent, having a mortgage and being responsible for all the bills played on my mind daily. I would have little wins here and there, but not consistently. That was because I wasn't being consistent.

From October to November of this year, I actually will be on Long Service Leave at half pay. This will then enable me to take a further three months at half pay the following year.

The aim of this is to be able to finally be able to put my BUSINESS and my DREAM first and I want to be able to do this with each of you. These years of study, long hours, programs from many mentors. some bright shiny objects and things I thought I needed to learn JUST IN CASE. In the words of one of my mentors Denise Duffield-Thomas "IT IS MY TIME AND I AM READY FOR THE NEXT STEP".

Now it is TIME to be VERY STRATEGIC. The first thing is to ensure that each of us has a solid foundation in place. If not (which I haven't) then let's spend the next couple of months making it so - BUILDING up our tribes and nurturing them, BUILDING our marketing roadmaps so we have a clear pathway and BUILDING our value ladders so we can repurpose and create content at different levels to gain that know, like and trust factor from our ideal clients.

Now it is TIME to make sure we have a system in place that allows us to automate and/or delegate the bits that take up our time, which then can lead to frustration and overwhelm.

Now it is TIME to ensure that our website is working for us and is not just a glorified business card.

Now it is TIME to ensure we have a precise CUSTOMER pathway to confidently take them through each step to the OUTCOME they want to achieve (from the BEFORE state to the AFTER state) of our product, program or service.

Nuggets of gold is another word that I like to use. Sometimes it just takes that "little snippet" or nugget of gold for a great idea or an invention to create something of extreme value that propels us into our AHA moment.

For the last few years as I have been trying to get my members and other coaches and small businesses visible, I thought I need to walk the talk and get visible myself.

I started doing the video chats at the start of this year with others to get both myseslf and others more comfortable in front of the camera and then wanted to give them a nice intro to lead into the "Video Chats" and to finish also with an outro video and credits.

One thing I am experiencing is that although they may only be 30 sec or less than 2 minutes, it does not take only that amount of time to create. In fact I often can spend quite a few hours creating them, getting the right template, getting the right music, speeding it up, slowing it down, adding other transitions, editing because something is not quite right, uploading, compressing it so it is not too large etc to totally customise it to my client's requirements.

I think because I started calling them snippet videos (to help others realise they can break down their content into little snippets to use as teasers and get more visible) that people (or I think they do) think that it is easy and everyone can do it - especially with the software and apps that are out there.

It was only when I ran my 6 week Get Visible with Video Workshop to teach people the basics as a pilot course, that I could see that people were so overwhelmed with the techy aspects and how much they struggled, their feelings of I can't do this, their moments of joy when they created their own little video or they were brave to be in front of the camera for a couple of minutes, that I knew that this is my strength and skill, which others do not have. In addition, I had some overwhelming feedback from one of my mentors Jessica Lorimer (@jess_lorimer) which led to some great feedback from others outside of my normal Facebook Groups - Heather Gray (@choosetohaveitall) and Emma Perois (@getorganizedwithemma).

I love doing this side of things, others don't because they are passionate and skilful at something else. I have also recently "out-tasked" some jobs to see what they would cost me and also how much time it would also save, which in this instance it didn't. I will use out-tasking for the things that I am not good at or don't like doing, but will continue to create some fantastic CUSTOMISED intro and outro "pockets of power" for my clients.

Talking Techy with Rosemary

Rosemary is one of my perfect clients. She is one of our members of Online Coach Support and she is also a client of mine personally. One of the things that frustrates and overwhelms Rosemary is some of the techy aspects that are involved with creating her coaching and wellness biz @rosemaryobrien.com.au. What I love about her and the other members with Online Coach Support is their determination and persistence to work things out.

They are also encouraged to post into the private Facebook groups (Online Coach Support - closed FB group) any dilemmas they may need help with.

Rosemary now knows to come to me whenever she has some techy troubles. Our coaching sessions are about working on whatever she is stuck on or wants to accomplish in this regard. Sometimes it is the littlest thing that could have stopped Rosemary such as setting up her booking calendar - youcanbook.me and syncing it with her Google calendar.

This one frustrated both of us because I would look at her screen (using the share screen option in Skype) and it appeared she had done everything correctly. It was just by persistence that she realised that in her Google calendar that she didn't have it set to Available. This may be because Rosemary has varied times and days because she does shift work. Another area that I have worked with Rosemary is on her website - rosemaryobrien.com.au. It is now very beautiful and I am so proud of how far Rosemary has come in this regard.

Through our coaching academy training we were actually given a website template. We were encouraged to use Wordpress. Although I have tried it and like some of the themes, the widgets and plugins required for just the basic elements did my head in.

I also wanted to show new coaches that especially when getting started to use something that is easy. This would give them confidence and they would be able to quite easily and cheaply design something nice themselves without having to hire a web designer.

As I had already started using Weebly, I decided to keep going with my original website - Colleens Coaching Corner. This has been neglected over the last couple of years since I have been working on this site - Online Coach Support.

Rosemary had come to me in desperation initially because she knew I was using Weebly. She had actually hired someone to help set up her website initially . She paid for this service in more ways than one. She tried to start doing some things herself only to be told by her web designer to "just leave things alone" and "don't touch it at all". Rosemary was left feeling unhappy, overwhelmed and with the thought that she couldn't do it and would have to always rely on someone else. This made me so upset so straight away I spent 20 mins with her and she was then off and racing.

Check out her site now. From teaching Rosemary, she has also taught me some other little tricks that she came across.

When you click on to her website after a couple of seconds the water starts to run as she has looped a video giving it a very calming effect. Rosemary has added different banners to each page so check them out also. This is something she showed me and a fairly new feature of Weebly.

We also added the Facebook like feature. It was something I did years ago back on my old site and had forgot about adding that feature to Online Coach Support so once again she helped me by asking me if I knew how to do it. Rosemary has also got a Call to Action to book her on her Facebook page which is something that I should also add. Check out Rosemary's and my Facebook pages. I also have created one for Cambodia for a Cause which you can also check out.

There are so many different features and elements that you can add with Weebly. They also have introduced heaps more apps and features which I am loving such as the Colour Block. You can change the colour and the transparency and also round the edges such as I have done here. No coding required just install the app.

A few other tools that I have shown Rosemary and other members are:

Instant Teleseminar - a teleseminar and webinar platform. We have used for interviews and group coaching sessions as well as practising hosting an event. The plan that I am on for Instant Teleseminar is $67 USD though for any members of Online Coach Support this is provided free.
Zoom - another webinar platform that easily allows you to share screens as well as see viewers if you choose or just host and show a presentation of whatever sort. Great for interviews which I will be conducting as part of the Membership of Online Coach Support for 2017. This is free to use for 40 mins for up to 50 people. I am on the basic plan which cost only $149.00 UD for the year which is great value.
Canva and Pic Monkey - great tools for creating content
Snipping Tool - tools on MS Windows that allows you to take a snip of just a section on your screen to also help you create graphics. This is just in your Accessories or just click search in your Windows toolbar.
Audacity - free editing tool for audios.
Windows Movie Maker - a great tool to combine the graphics you have created using Canva, Audacity etc and turn into a video. You can then upload to YouTube or your website, your blog post etc. This should be already on Windows 10, otherwise use the link to download.

Most of these are either free or at low cost.

Oh our dear one there is a much greater, expansive and shining unfolding waiting for you than the one you have been picturing in yourself.. are you willing - we are asking you - to let go a bit of the control you feel you have to hold in your hand, so that God, The Universe, the all-embracing Energy, the All There is and There ever will be, will have the permission to bring you the gifts you have been within you truly longing for?

Are you ready to start stepping aside a bit so that Someone else - or Something else if you prefer - will have the chance to look after you as and beyond what/how you have been longing for so long?

That is what’s meant to be brought to you our bright precious colleague..yes, as your actions are driven by the deep desire and will to be of service and help, will you in the same way allow yourself to receive what you are most willing to give and desiring to receive? That is in fact the golden road (i.e. give what you want to receive) to obtain it if, and we underline if, you then allow yourself and consider yourself worthy of fully receiving it and enjoying it. The end of the year is fast approaching and I have been working with quite a few coaches that are members of onlinecoachsupport.com that have also joined me by being pro-active, taking the plunge and enrolling in either of my courses (6 Pillars to Creating Your Online Biz and Attracting Your Perfect Customers and the other course being Product Creators).

I will be continuing to work with each of these members to ensure they get their product, service or program out to their tribes.

If you want to be able to start coaching to groups (one to many) instead of one:one then you need to have a plan. Instead of continually chasing to get new clients you need a structure or blueprint that transitions your prospect from the BEFORE state to the AFTER state (@Digital Marketer).

These courses have been specifically designed to help life, biz and wellness coaches or anyone starting an online business to get clarity in who they serve and to help get their marketing message out to their tribes. I found by beta testing my courses and charging a reduced price to a small group it provided me with clarity, accountability and great insight. It also enabled me to strengthen and create extra content material and I certainly recommend it as you get to "road test" what works and what doesn't. It also helped things flow, where previously it was overwhelming.

In the following weeks I will be showcasing LINDA CARROLL who has done both my courses (6 Basic Pillars to Creating Your Online Biz & Attracting your Perfect Customers and also Product Creators). Below is an example of the steps we have created for our new course that we currently BETA testing over the next 6 weeks.

The outcome is for other Coaches to become clear and confident with their speaking voice and also to repurpose or relay their message in different formats - such as audio, graphics and video. This also shows the power of partnerships or joint ventures. By combining Linda's original course COACHES SPEAK with my PRODUCT CREATORS and working together we have come up with SPEAK & CREATE.

We also did an interview together using Zoom which we have also uploaded to YouTube. I speak with Linda about her course (COACHES SPEAK) and how we decided to work together and create a combined course (SPEAK & CREATE). This was an ideal way for Linda to test out her course, but incorporating some of the techy elements of repurposing and creating content from my course (PRODUCT CREATORS).

For this we use a mixture of tools such as Instant Teleseminar, Zoom, Audacity, Canva, MP3 Quality Modifier. Most of these are all free tools that will help get you started and no cost. For Session 1 of our 6 Week Masterclass Speak & Create we decided to open up the call for anyone within our Facebook Groups to join in. It was a great session and I really enjoyed the first topic which was Getting Happy and Relaxed with your Speaking Voice. Part of that session was how your voice is an instrument and how you can be in control of your voice just by listening to your tone and varying it accordingly.
